Overview

Tommy’s is a UK-based charity dedicated to funding research into miscarriage, stillbirth, and premature birth while providing essential pregnancy support. Their mission is to ensure that every baby has the best possible chance of being born safely.

A rainbow baby is a baby born after pregnancy loss, symbolising hope and healing after a storm. Tommy’s recognises the unique emotional challenges parents face when expecting again after loss. Their Rainbow Baby support offers guidance, reassurance, and medical expertise to help parents navigate this journey with confidence.

Support For…

Tommy’s Rainbow Baby Support is for:

  • Parents who have previously experienced miscarriage, stillbirth, or neonatal loss and are now pregnant again.

  • Families who need specialist medical support due to previous pregnancy complications.

  • Anyone looking for emotional guidance, reassurance, and expert advice to navigate pregnancy after loss.

  • Parents who need help understanding risk factors, medical appointments, and pregnancy care pathways after a previous loss.

  • Families seeking a supportive community of people who understand the unique emotional challenges of expecting a rainbow baby.

Without the incredible support and care that I received at Tommy’s Rainbow Clinic in Manchester, I would never have been able to get through my second pregnancy. My Rainbow Riley came early, and I feel so strongly that my body would have gone into labour even earlier with stress and anxiety if it weren’t for the love of Tommy’s.

I feel lucky that a midwife told me about Tommy’s because their midwife helpline was invaluable after losing Teddy; they really understand loss.
